The design for this apartment moved away from the original, more compartmentalised layout in favour of an open, fluidly interconnecting space. Removing redundant walls drew in natural light and created a legible, functional living zone in which the living room, dining area and kitchen form a coherent, timeless whole. The scheme is grounded in light, warm tones and generous amounts of natural wood, present in the built-in joinery and on the floors. Soft fabrics, simple furniture forms and subtle details lend the interior a comfortable character. Colourful terrazzo introduces a gentle dynamism and serves as the leitmotif threading through the space — from the hall to the bathroom. Turquoise tiles provide a bold accent, appearing on the built-in wardrobe in the hall and on the fireplace surround in the living zone, as does the brick-red joinery leading from the hall into the kitchen. In the kitchen, classic Bianco Carrara marble on the worktops and wall cladding balances the colour accents and underscores the timeless character of the design. Striking sliding doors of vertically reeded glass separate the bedroom, ensuring privacy while still admitting light. The bedroom itself was conceived as a space of calm — with a large wardrobe in an energising colour that forms a strong yet harmonious accent. The bathroom consistently extends the established material palette: colourful terrazzo, stone, a brick-red washbasin cabinet, wooden joinery and square tiles in a sage shade. Material coherence and attention to detail build an interior that is contemporary yet resistant to shifting trends — warm, functional and timeless.
